The children's ski courses are intended for children from four years of age. Depending on age, experience and skiing ability the children are assigned to suitable groups. This way they can learn at their own pace and become step by step more confident on skis.

At the online booking the self-assessment helps to find a suitable first group. On site and during the course it is checked whether the level is a good fit. Should a child be over- or underchallenged, a change to a more suitable group can be carried out.

The learning goals are oriented towards the children's ability. Beginners learn the basics such as gliding, braking and first turns. Advanced children improve their technique, gain more confidence on the slope and, depending on level, discover more and more of the ski area.

Yes. For children and teens a lunchtime supervision including lunch can be additionally booked. The children remain in the care of their ski instructor, go to eat together with the group and afterwards return to the course.

Your child needs skis, suitable ski boots, a helmet and weather-appropriate ski clothing as well as gloves. Also important is a pair of ski or sun glasses and sun protection. The ski equipment should match the body size and the skiing ability.

We gladly take this wish into account if age and skiing ability fit well together. To maximise the learning success, it is important that each child rides in a group that matches its ability.

The group courses are suitable for all guests from 18 years – from beginners to returning skiers to advanced skiers. The groups are put together according to skiing ability, so that you learn at a suitable level and can develop safely further.

The assignment is made on the basis of your skiing ability. If you are unsure, we recommend a rather cautious self-assessment. A somewhat lower group is often more pleasant, because there you can build up confidence. Should it turn out during the course that another group fits better, a change can usually be carried out.

No. If you do not yet have any experience, you start in a beginner group. There you learn the basics step by step – from getting used to the equipment via safe braking to the first turns.

Especially for beginners and returning skiers, several course days are advisable. This way there remains enough time to repeat movements, build up confidence and consolidate progress sustainably.

The group assignment is made in the first place according to skiing ability, so that the level in the group matches well. German and English are the most important teaching languages, many ski instructors also speak Dutch. Whether an assignment by language is possible depends on availability, group size and the suitable skill group.

Please bring your complete ski equipment, a valid ski pass and your printed course ticket or the QR code from the guest app. It is best to be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the course start, so that enough time remains for orientation and group assignment.

A private course is suitable for everyone who would like to be supervised individually. No matter whether you want to learn to ski, improve your technique, get back in after a longer break or get to know the ski area better – the lesson is tailored to your ability, your goals and your personal pace.

In private lessons your wishes and goals are at the centre. Pace, terrain, breaks and lesson content can be adapted individually. This way you work exactly on the topics that are important to you.

A private instructor supervises groups of up to seven people. With larger groups or very different skill levels, it can make sense to plan two private instructors.

Yes. Instructor wishes can gladly be stated – the ski school checks whether the wish can be taken into account. An agreement, however, always depends on the respective availability and planning.

Private courses can be reserved online, but not directly firmly booked. Since the assignment is coordinated personally, the ski school subsequently checks your details, wishes and goals. Only afterwards does the binding confirmation of the private course take place.

Besides classic ski courses, the ski school offers, among other things, snowboard courses as well as various special offers such as freeride, ski touring, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing or other winter sports. This way both beginners and experienced winter sports enthusiasts find a suitable offer.

Berta's Kindergarten cares for children already from an age of three months. The offer is aimed at families whose children are still too young for a ski course and are to be lovingly cared for during the ski day.

Please give along everything your child needs for a pleasant day of care. This includes for example dummy, cuddly toy or cuddly cloth, slippers, diapers, drinking bottle and suitable clothing. Depending on the weather, a hat or headband, gloves and sun protection are also sensible.

The day is designed in a varied way. The children play, do crafts and rest in the child-appropriate indoor rooms. If weather and conditions fit, joint activities outdoors and in the snow are also possible depending on age.

Yes. In Berta's Kindergarten various care models are possible. Depending on need you can have your child cared for half-day or full-day.

The care takes place above all in German and English – depending on team and availability Dutch can also be spoken.

No. The ski pass is not included in the price of the ski course and must be purchased separately. For adult beginners a beginner ski pass can be sensible on the first course day – which card is suitable for the further course days you discuss afterwards with your ski instructor. Children up to 6 years can acquire a "Murmli-Berta Card" free of charge, which is valid in the whole ski area.

The basic course price includes the ski lesson during the booked course times. For children's and teens courses a full-day programme with lunch and care can be additionally booked.

With the online booking you secure your course already before the start of the holiday and save time on site. After the booking you receive an e-ticket or a QR code. This is scanned directly at the meeting point.

For the booking, as standard your name, your age, your accommodation, your email address as well as a mobile telephone number under which you can be reached during your holiday are needed. Yes. Especially for beginners and returning skiers, additional course days are often sensible in order to build up confidence and consolidate what has been learned. It is best to turn to the ski school office early for this (unfortunately courses cannot be extended online or via the app).

All group courses as well as the childcare in the kindergarten can be booked online. Some offers, for example private courses or certain alternative offers, are reserved online or requested directly with the ski school. The binding assignment or confirmation then takes place through the ski school.

No. The online ticket does not have to be exchanged in the ski school office. Please bring the QR code digitally or printed to the meeting point. There it is scanned before course start.

In the ski school office payments with Visa, Mastercard, EC card and cash are possible. At the online booking the respective available payment possibilities are shown directly in the booking process.

With illness or injury a reimbursement is only possible with a medical confirmation. The difference amount for unused course days is reimbursed. Please turn directly to the ski school office in this case.

Regular ski courses basically also take place with wintery conditions. The programme is adapted to weather, visibility and snow situation. Course cancellations due to weather-related influences or force majeure are not replaced – please see the terms and conditions for further information.

Short-notice bookings can be possible, but depend on course type, availability, group size, instructor planning and season time. Especially during holiday periods an early booking is recommended.

Which gathering point is right for your booked course depends on course type, age and skiing ability. You find the suitable gathering point in your booking confirmation by email, in the guest app as well as in the current information of the ski school.

At the gathering point staff of the ski school are available as contact persons. They help with orientation, check the booking, answer questions and support with the assignment to the suitable group.

At the gathering point your ticket or the QR code is checked and invalidated. Afterwards you are assigned to your suitable group. In doing so it is checked whether course booking, age and skiing ability match. Open questions can be clarified directly on site.

If you arrive too late at the gathering point, it may be that your group is already on the way. In this case please turn directly to the staff at the gathering point or to the ski school office.

Please come 15 minutes before the course start to the respective gathering point. This way there remains enough time to scan the ticket, clarify open questions and calmly assign the groups. Especially on the first course day we recommend planning somewhat more time for arrival, equipment and orientation.

The ski school deliberately works with several gathering points. This way different courses, age groups and skill levels can be organised better. This provides, especially during holiday periods, more overview, shorter distances and a calmer course start.

The more precise your details are, the better the ski school can assign the suitable private instructor. Important are, among other things, sport, age, skiing ability, language, group size, personal goals as well as special notes such as fears, insecurities or physical limitations.

An early booking is recommended – especially during holiday periods. This way you secure your desired course and benefit from a relaxed start to your ski holiday. Should no availability be shown online, it is often worth making an inquiry by telephone or email.

Our group courses are structured so that each course day builds on the previous one and the course is continued over the whole week. Should your child need a break at some point, please be sure to discuss this with the ski instructor. Whether an exception is possible is decided individually. In the meantime the group continues the course programme and learns new content every day. Therefore it may be that your child has to change group after the break if the skill level no longer matches that of the original group.

No group courses take place on Saturday. Private courses, however, are possible at any time on request, including on Saturdays.

It is not recommended to skip an afternoon, but it is in principle possible. It is important to know, however, that the entire day is charged. In addition, all other participants ski two hours longer, which may mean that a group change is necessary the next day. It is best to discuss this with the ski instructor.

That depends on several factors: For beginners this is basically not possible. Experienced guests can find out on the day before the planned start from 4:00 pm whether we have a suitable group with which they can ride along.

No, we only offer full-day courses. Only the Bambini course for the 3-year-olds is half-day. Our experience has shown that the learning success achieved is in no proportion to a full-day course!

For children we offer an alternative date on Wednesday, for which advance registration is possible until 4:30 pm the day before. For adults there is a 2-day course from Thursday for ski and snowboard beginners, which only takes place if enough people are registered.

We recommend ski poles from level K4.

No. Participation in the ski race is exclusively for children who are in the ski course (group and private) on that day. The course takes place as normal before and after the race.

Yes. To use the lift facilities you need a valid ski pass. This is not included in the course price and must be purchased separately.

In our groups we place great value on the participants matching each other well. This concerns in particular age, skiing ability as well as physical prerequisites such as size and stamina. Only this way can we guarantee an optimal group dynamic and learning experience. At 12 years the children's course is the suitable option. No worries – the groups are assigned age-appropriately on site, so that the children match well and a harmonious learning group is formed.

Yes. Families can book a private course together. Ideal is when all participants have a similar skiing ability. With larger differences in ability, the lesson is oriented towards the weakest member of the group, so that everyone is safely on the way together. In certain cases it can make sense to plan two private instructors, e.g. when it concerns beginners, or the children are still quite young. The family price can only be charged if it concerns one's own children under 14 years old.

Private courses can be booked flexibly between two and six hours. This way the duration can be adapted individually to your goals, your skiing ability and your day planning on holiday.

The tariff also includes the care of the children over midday. Therefore you need a ticket, because your child is being cared for during this time.

Provided the child is assigned between K3 and K6, you can choose the gathering point on the first day. This then remains the gathering point for the rest of the week. If you stay overnight in Ladis, the gathering point at the middle station is closer. Should you have another child in the Bambini course or in levels K1/K2, it is simpler to bring all children to the same meeting point. If you stay overnight in Fiss and have no bookings for K1 or K2 courses, the gathering point in Fiss makes more sense. In the end you choose to which gathering point you bring the children.

No. With the guest card you get the ski pass at reduced price at the cable car.

There is an accompanying card. This card is valid for 3 rides with the Sonnenbahn to the Kinderland and back – perfect to drop off the children in the morning, to go to lunch together and to pick them up again in the afternoon.

The GuestApp offers you an overview of all courses, past and future, that you have booked in our ski school. With a booking you receive an automatic email with access data for our GuestApp. Should you not yet have an account, we ask you to first activate your account with the creation of a password. Afterwards you can log in with your email address as username.
