FAQ
Which ski course is right for me or my child?
The right course depends mainly on age, skiing ability, and personal goals. There are different offers and skill levels for beginners, returning skiers, and advanced skiers. If you're unsure, the ski school team will be happy to help you find the right choice.
How does the assignment to the right group work?
The assignment is initially made on the basis of the self-assessment at the time of booking. New guests can assess their skiing ability with the help of the descriptions and videos for the individual skill levels. Returning guests also orient themselves additionally by their technique passport. On site and during the course it is checked whether the group is a good fit – should someone be over- or underchallenged, a change to a more suitable group can be examined.
Can I book a course without any prior knowledge?
Yes. Children and adults can start in a beginner group without any prior knowledge. The course begins with the basics and builds on them step by step. This way you learn to ski safely, understandably and with enjoyment.
Can I also book my course online?
Yes. Most group courses as well as the childcare in the kindergarten can be conveniently booked online. Unfortunately, group course bookings cannot be accepted by email or telephone. After the booking you will receive an e-ticket with a QR code. This is scanned directly at the meeting point. An exchange at the ski school office is not necessary.
Can I change groups during the week?
Yes. If it turns out that you or your child is over- or underchallenged, a change to a more suitable group can be examined. The prerequisite is that a suitable group is available and that safety, group size and organisation fit.
Which winter sports can I learn besides skiing?
Besides classic ski courses, the ski school offers, among other things, snowboard courses as well as various special offers such as freeride, ski touring, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing or other winter sports. This way both beginners and experienced winter sports enthusiasts find a suitable offer.
How early should I book my course?
An early booking is recommended – especially during holiday periods. This way you secure your desired course and benefit from a relaxed start to your ski holiday. Should no availability be shown online, it is often worth making an inquiry by telephone or email.
Can my child skip a day?
Our group courses are structured so that each course day builds on the previous one and the course is continued over the whole week. Should your child need a break at some point, please be sure to discuss this with the ski instructor. Whether an exception is possible is decided individually. In the meantime the group continues the course programme and learns new content every day. Therefore it may be that your child has to change group after the break if the skill level no longer matches that of the original group.
Is there a course on Saturdays?
No group courses take place on Saturday. Private courses, however, are possible at any time on request, including on Saturdays.
Is it possible to skip an afternoon of a group course?
It is not recommended to skip an afternoon, but it is in principle possible. It is important to know, however, that the entire day is charged. In addition, all other participants ski two hours longer, which may mean that a group change is necessary the next day. It is best to discuss this with the ski instructor.
Are there also half-day courses?
No, we only offer full-day courses. Only the Bambini course for the 3-year-olds is half-day. Our experience has shown that the learning success achieved is in no proportion to a full-day course!
Can you join a group course during the week?
That depends on several factors: For beginners this is basically not possible. Experienced guests can find out on the day before the planned start from 4:00 pm whether we have a suitable group with which they can ride along.
I have never skied before. Can I still join during the week?
For children we offer an alternative date on Wednesday, for which advance registration is possible until 4:30 pm the day before. For adults there is a 2-day course from Thursday for ski and snowboard beginners, which only takes place if enough people are registered.
